Seclira^® Fly Bait is the first ready-to-use sprayable bait against flies that contains an attractant designed to draw nuisance flies to the treated surface and feed on the bait.

Seclira^® Fly Bait is ideal for domestic homes, commercial premises, livestock farms - as part of biosecurity measures-, and in crop farms for warehouses, storage rooms, chicken coops and other buildings.

For use by	Farmers and Pest Control Operators
Usage	Indoors in dairy parlours, piggeries, stables, poultry houses and similar places where high levels of hygiene are required. Indoors in farm buildings (warehouses, storage rooms, chicken coops and other buildings). Indoors in commercial, industrial, and domestic premises, food handling areas, public buildings,
Target species	Stable (Stomoxys calcitrans) and House flies (Musca domestica)
Application method	Do not exceed 20m2 of treated surface (140 linear meters) per 100m2 building size of the premise. Method: Spraying Barrier treatment with ready-to-use sprayable dispenser at a distance of 30 cm from the surface of treatment. For use on non-porous surfaces
Application rate(s) and frequency	Spray 3 seconds per linear meter as band treatment (15cm band width). For use in commercial, industrial, domestic, or public buildings: 11 applications per year shall not be exceeded. For use in animal buildings: 6 applications per year shall not be exceeded.
Where to apply?	Apply as a band/barrier on surfaces on which flies preferably congregate or settle (window frames and near other light sources, rubbish bins, door frames, roof beams, sprinklers, pipes, roof beams, edges of beams.)

Toxicology

Using Seclira^® Fly Bait in livestock farms: You can apply in presence of animals but ensure that treated surfaces are out of reach of the livestock and pets. Do not apply directly on animals.
Using Seclira^® Fly Bait in crop farms: You can apply it in food storage areas but ensure that the food is not in direct contact with the treated surfaces
Using Seclira^® Fly Bait in urban premises: You can apply it in hostelry areas but ensure that surfaces where the food is stored, prepared, or eaten do not have direct contact with treated surfaces.

With Seclira^® Fly Bait flies are knockdown within seconds or few minutes after contact or ingestion.
In a close to real chamber test, more than 90% of all flies were knocked down after 8 hours and dead after 1 day.

Flies are a nuisance insect not just for humans but also for animals. The impact on the farm’s productivity includes a decrease in average daily gain, decrease in the production and the reproduction rates.

Flies also needs to be controlled in urban environments, especially restaurants and eating areas. As they fly between contaminated and clean surfaces, flies can transfer more than 100 pathogens.

Simply spray onto surface

Seclira^® Fly Bait contains a powerful attractant bait to ensure passing flies stop to feed and ingest a lethal dose. The insects cannot detect the presence of the product so will not avoid surfaces treated with Seclira^® Fly Bait. Dinotefuran is active by contact and ingestion and is consequently suitable for residual surface products and bait products.

Colourless and odourless bait

Thanks to a colorless and odorless Seclira^® Fly Bait, pest control operators can use it in sensitive places where re-entry of people occurs in a short period of time and avoid any complaint. Re-entry is possible when the product is dry.

Long-lasting effect for at least 6 weeks

Seclira^® Fly Bait keeps its performance over time at the highest level and consequently reduces the risk of disease transmission and stress for humans and animals to a minimum for 6 weeks and beyond.

Even on 42-days aged surfaces, performance of Seclira^® Fly Bait is as good as on the unaged treatment. Treated surfaces should be checked regularly concerning coverage of dust or dirt and in particular, when an increase of the level of infestation is observed. Re-apply product if needed.

Domestic and commercial owners

In the warmer periods flies are a big nuisance to workers and customers, especially in eating areas or bakeries.

Flies lay down their eggs in garbage zones where maggots might migrate to areas frequented by workers or customers.

Crop and livestock farmers

In combination with a proper hygienic situation on the site, additional mechanical measures to prevent re-invasion of flies, the use of larvicide and adulticide is needed.
