The event was designed to offer a well-rounded and engaging experience for all participants. It opened with welcoming remarks from Vassilis Gounaris – Managing Director, who noted:

The program continued with a Biosecurity session. It was initiated by Professor Christos Balaskas from the Agricultural University of Athens, who spoke on “Biosecurity and its role in modern livestock farming.” As he noted:
“Biosecurity is a top priority for farmers and livestock producers and should be viewed not as a cost, but as an investment.”
The session was completed by Jeferson de Andrade, Technical Business Development Manager at BASF, who presented fly behavior and control strategies and highlighted:
“Flies are a significant public health insect, and their management must be a priority.”

The focus then shifted to Seclira®. Panagiotis Klitsinaris presented the product’s innovative profile, followed by Lukasz Rosinski, Technical Support Manager at BASF, who shared field experiences and insights on product positioning. He underlined the three main advantages of Seclira:
“Simple and targeted application, colorless and odorless bait, and long-lasting effectiveness.”
The event concluded with an open discussion and final remarks. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream was made available to allow remote participation. A Q&A session followed the presentations, encouraging dialogue and exchange of perspectives among speakers and attendees.
Finally, a networking lunch provided the opportunity for participants to exchange field experiences and discuss future strategies for effective pest management.
